M.L. Gardner's Homemade Brownies

M.L. Gardner's Homemade Brownies

Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2016 holds lots of love, happiness and brownies. They really are all the same thing if you think about it.

I came across the most amazing recipe for homemade brownies and wanted to share it with you. Now, I live in Utah, not Washington or Colorado, so don't get too excited.  These will only make you fat.  I apologize in advance for that.

1/2 cup (minus 2 Tbsp) Butter

2 Eggs

1 C. Sugar

1 tsp. Vanilla

1/3 c. Unsweetened Cocoa

1/4 tsp. Baking Powder

1/2 c. Flour

dash salt

Melt butter. Add eggs, sugar, vanilla, baking soda and cocoa. Stir until smooth. Add flour, stir until mostly smooth.

Spread in a greased 8X8 pan. (You can double to use a 9X13 but my waistline doesn't advise it.)

Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°.

Attempt to wait until cool to cut and eat.

These need no frosting. They really are plenty rich.

Have a wonderful and safe New Years everyone!
